Read this letter from Linda Klein, the American Bar Association president, to the Department of Homeland Security. Even though the DHS regulations direct that privileged or sensitive material be given “special handling," the ABA recommends that DHS revise and clarify the rules. If you're taking client information with you across the border, know what you're up against before you go.
